I wouldn't get too hung up on the billies, they are fine, but nothing special, what you do want is a car that would have had billies fitted as that will be one of the sport based cars, the 6 speed and gear ratios are an excellent fit for a great road car, the 5 speed cars tend to get a bit thrashy on the motorway.
Suspension wise there are various recipes depending on what you want, but most people find Meister's the perfect balance. The only time I'd suggest that bilsteins have an advantage is if you want the extra ride height over what a car with coilovers would tend to offer, fitting lowering springs to the bilsteins is an improvement to handling but cost wise if you can find a good condition set of second hand meisters it makes more sense imo.

They’re all basically variations of the same thing, just different colour combinations etc. unless you can find a rare Sport Recaro as the seats are well worth paying the extra for.
Check the Bilsteins are all still there also as it’s not uncommon for them to have been replaced with cheap non-OEM alternatives (usually on the back end) when owners have had issues with them.
