Hi there I’m looking for recommendations for someone to do a few tweaks on my mx5 powered turbo kit car. Ideally Yorkshire but I’m prepared to travel.

Cheers

Which ECU?

No personal experience, but have heard good things about DanST…

I have an ME221 and he was recommended to me based on his ME experience, so he should be able to help.

He has a YT channel with plenty of customer cars…

You could try MazdaDudes in Darlington.

Hi there. I’m just looking for the map re doing as I had a local company do the initial map and they charged me more than I thought. The engine is a fully rebuilt bp4w with forged internals and a Garrett gt 25 I think. It’s still only done 300 miles lol. I think they were a bit conservative on the map it mad 200bhp at the wheels i think or maybe 240 I can’t remember but I want 300 ideally.

Autotronix have been fiddling with mx5s for years and have a good rep. Located between Sheffield and Worksop.

Right I have sent emails to these people and none have responded.

On another note I have willwood calipers up front and I’m not sure what pads I have but the braking is gash.

Can anyone recommend some good ones as this car is going on track as soon as the weather permits. Possibly donnington but more than likely cadwell

Autotronix are a bit old school so I'd phone them.

Do the pads perhaps need some heat in them before they start to work? I've never had a problem with standard pads, even in a supercharged mk3 but your Wilwoods might be limited to pad types.

Hi mate. Tbf it’s only done 300 miles it does stop but you have to press if you know what i mean maybe it’s just me that’s used to servo assist. The power is going to be jumping up probably near 80-100bhp so want to try get it sorted. The suspension is way out too I was rolling out onto the straight at Blyton and giving it the beans back end was skipping like mad.

I have 4 pot willwoods & use the car on track. The brakes are are amazing. Try looking at Bofi for pads.
