Hello everyone.

I've added an MX5 to the modest paulguitar fleet, and it arrives tomorrow. I'm looking forward to trying it. If it is enough fun, it will replace my 981 Boxster S. If not, it will probably get sold in the summer with the Boxster being retained.

One quick question, how much of a faff/expense is it to get Apple CarPlay into an ND2?

Here it is:

Hey there, what year is your ND2? I thought that all post 2019 had it. Wired up until 2021 when it became wireless. You will have a picture of a little phone with an arrow pointing to the top USB socket if it's got Apple CarPlay. Hope that helps and welcome to the club!

Thanks. smile

It was registered in March 2019, but the seller said there is no CarPlay.

It will be here tomorrow, and I can take a look at the screen then. In the meantime, I have these photos from the ad:

My old mx5 was a 2019 and that didn't have carplay. When I had my mx5 Mazda charged £300 to fit it although they did sometimes have offers on.

You can buy the complete kit from Aliexpress and there are tutorials on youtube. There is a lot of dismantling around the dash and centre console area but it doesn't look too bad if you use trim removal tools and take your time.
