MX-5 seats. Is it possible...

...to swap them (or at least the driver's side) for a Lotus Elise S1 seat?

I've got a Mk1 1.8i and it's great but I'm just not MX-5 shaped but have had little trouble being sat in my brother's Lotus for long distances. Also, the torso clenching hugginess is appealing.
