Changed the fuel pump on my Dolomite the other weekend and spilled some (quite a bit of) fuel on the drive and ever since its smelled a bit petrolly out there. Particularly around the MX-5 but I figured that's just where it was parked. Until tonight when I finally got round to checking and found that the tank has rusted through and best part of a quarter of a tank of juice has escaped. That's £300 to get the Dolomite through its MOT, the Beemer needs a slip ring and an ignition switch, the Fabia just had a final stage resistor and now another £150 on a fuel tank. God damn it!
