When is the right time to take the hard top off?

I'm thinking of taking mine off this weekend providing the weather is set to be good - I have a drive of 200 odd miles to do and it'd be great to do it topless!

I was hoping to take it off this week and give the hood a good going over with some Renovo...but as there's bad weather forecast, I'll wait til next week probably.

Still got my hard top on. Really wanna put it away, but there's no sunshine at the minute, and a little part of me likes the look of the hard top on the car...

I usually do it around when the clocks change, depending on the weather of course.

I usually take mine off in March/April - just depends on the weather and availability of a second pair of hands.

Not sure I undrstamd why it's such a big event!? Last year when I had a hardtop I would fit/remove it on a daily basis depending on the days weather, destination and parking arrangements. It's hardly a big job is it? And anyone with a bit of stregnth can do it solo in 3 minutes.

There's the problem - I'm a weakling!

Plus it's storage is not always that convenient. I have to get into the lockup, move the lawnmower and other stuff, get it out the door (only just fits), get it down the side of the house, over teh flower bed and finally onto the car.

I'm not physically able to do some of that on my own, and I'm certainly not doing it every other day!

Take it off now!!! You are missing out - going topless on a crisp, sunny winters day with the heaters on full blast is an experience smile
