I need to get the MX5 serviced, can anyone recommend a good independent specialist around north west london?

Try Car Care of Kensington. http://www.carcare1.co.uk/ They are actually in Ladbroke Grove.

I've been using them for several years and used to get my MK2 MX5 serviced there. They aren't an MX5 specialist, but I'd personally prefer to deal with somebody who I have confidence in(and an MX5 isn't all that complicated!). I've always found them excellent to deal with. Always have the car ready when they say they will, always call to check with you before going ahead with work - I can't rate them highly enough. I'm not sure if there actually is an MX5 specialist in NW London?

Motorpoint in Hendon (020 8204 0149 www.motorpointhendon.co.uk) are excellent. They are a Bosch technical centre and the Managing Director and Senior Motor Vehicle Technician HANIF SAMNAKAY and all his staff are really good and enthusiastic.
They have looked after my MX5 (and all my other cars) when it was normally aspirated and turbocharged and can honestly say they are knowledgable, professional and their work is very reasonably priced.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to you.
