I think my clutch slave cylinder is gone but doesnt leak (not loosing any on master cylinder fluid box)... But does it cause really STIFF gearbox changes, and very soft clutch pedal?

Or there is other issue at play?

Sounds about right.

When i did mine it didnt look like it was leaking... but if you peel back the rubber boot or pull it out with some grips, you'll most likely find it full of filthy old brake fluid.

Its really easy to change and only costs £15 plus a litre of dot 4. Makes the clutch feel tonnes nicer. Make sure to reset the clutch pedal free play/lash once you've done too, the numbers are in Rods book or on miata.net i imagine.

I would like to write a long winded answer, but this just about sums it up! Same happened to me, initially pedal was slack with stiff changes, then no change, nice easy fix - MX5 parts supplied the part, 30 mins labour, done... (I sound like Gordon Ramsey hehe )

An EZ-bleed?

You can, but if its the Gunsons one none of the caps are the right size I found. You'll need to fabricate something.

Its dead easy to do the the old school way if you can borrow someone (anyone, a child off the street did mine they loved it!) to press the pedal.

It doesnt take long either as theres only about 18 inches of pipe.

You can also do it solo if you use a brick on the pedal. It works fine but its very laborious.
