93 eunos mk1 airbag?

evening all,
i'm looking to take the plunge and buy an mx5. i looked at one today that had an srs airbag steering wheel, all the other cars i've looked at had the usual momo/nardi numbers which i prefer. would that be standard or has the steering wheel been changed?

Is it a Eunos or a UK car? - didnt think any of the JDM models had airbags.

its a eunos. i thought it looked odd, generic 4 spoke steering wheel like from an almera or something.

All the later cars had airbags. Was it UK or JDM and what year was it?

are you sure the car was a 93 model as i dont think they were fitted to mk1s until 95 or 96ish, although could have been added maybe.

I think they started fitting them to the top models in '94. It could be a late registration model...

Was it available as an option? Certainly, Miatas had 'em long before that so it wouldn't surprise me.
