Hi 
been looking for a new car for some time now, I narrowed it down to either a 944 or a MX5. But seeing as I cant afford a decent 944, and I would prefer something reliable that I dont have to fix something on every weekend! It looks like it'll be the Mx5!
what do people think to this, is it good value for money:

I'm impressed that the whole cars been polybushed and the brakes/suspension seem to have been uprated.
The only thing thats wrong with it is apparently the rear quarter has been sprayed at some point, and the finish isn't that great, I'm not to fussed about paint work, I can spray it as a last resort. slightly worried as to why its been sprayed, but he says he's looked extensively and theres no pannel damage?
I need one with a hard top so I can use it everyday and park it outside ect. I used to have a westfield a couple of years ago, but had to sell it as it lived outside and wasnt really all that practical!
I'd have another but havent got that kind of money! so I'm sort of hoping this will be a bit like a cheaper more practical westfield!

I'd have another but havent got that kind of money! so I'm sort of hoping this will be a bit like a cheaper more practical westfield!You don't really need a hard top just because the car will live outside. As long as it's in good condition then it will be perfectly weatherproof. The only real reason you might need one is if it's parked in a rough area where it might get slashed (in which case a soft-top car might not be the best choice anyway).
A good std soft top won't leak - they are nothing like Westfields.
A Hard top is a bit of a pain really in that they really need 2 people to remove and take upa lot of room to store.
Plus they are fairly desirable by thieves... £400+ just sitting there on 4 latches.
