Just discovered Rota RBs come in 15x8 with a 25 offset? Would these fit directly onto my 1993 Eunos and not rub? What size tyres would I need? Thanks.

25 offset will probably have a noticeable effect on handling even if they don't rub - standard for Mk1's was ET45, with some wheel options (like Mk2 15") going to ET38 from memory. I had 15x7(or maybe 6.5) ET35 Enkeis on my last one which were mostly fine but tramlined a bit more and you could feel the change in scrub once you got close to full lock.

Yeah, i think they are too wide really, do not want to go above 195/15 in the tyre department really. Cannot seem to find any minilight style 15s for sale anywhere, 15x6 would be ideal.

yes

205/50/15 is also an ok tyre size but seems to be disproportionately more expensive than 195/50/15, at least where I am. I don't know if there is any significant advantage in 205 over 195 anyway, perhaps with big power it makes a difference but I'd back a good quality 195 over a lesser 205 for the same price.

I'm on 15x7 and happy enough, I guess 15x6 would be a bit lighter for any given wheel which is always good.

loads of people, me included run Rota RB wheels on mk1 mx5s. mine are 15"x8 and are et30. Most use a 195/50/15 tyre too. Even once lowered unless you run really low ofsets you should be fine.

Thanks guys! Thats the answer I was looking for! So if I get some Rota RB's, 15x8, et30, and some 195/50/15 Toyo T1R's then I will be fine. Cheers.

Surely a 195 is a bit narrow for an 8 inch wheel? Wouldn't a 215 be better (have to be a 45 to have the same diameter as a 195/50 naturally)?

they are indeed, however these came with the wheels (Toyo T1R's) so will be worn away before replacing smile

a 195 is only 5mm narrower than the rim so not a problem really, certainly fit well and look normal rather than stretched when fitted.i think a 215 tyre might give you clearance problems.
