Squeaky steering column

As above - it creaks and squeaks like a good 'un as I turn the wheel.

Not sure how to get the cowling off but I can see the column between the wheel and the cowl. What do we reckon, a spot of 3-in-1 on it?

give it a good ol lube up mate , should be fine after that

The whole column is easy to remove, cowling is three screws, bolt at top, couple of bolts at the bottom, unplug the electrics and the whole thing lifts out. Then get greasing! Avoid wd40, it dries out and you'll be back to square one in a few weeks.
