I bought my car a few months ago and the battery has been replaced with a generic brand I've never hear of, but more importantly there's no tray or vent tubes( there's noweher on the battery for the tubes to attach to anyway), so it sits directly on the body - eek!

There's no corrosion yet but I want to get a Westco gel battery in there pronto as the current one cannot be vented even if I had the tubes, however I've seen the Westco gel advertised as 'no corrosion' and 'non-gassing', does this mean I wouldn't need to vent it, I'd rather not have to shell out for new tubing as well as the battery.

A pain all in really as the current battery is brand new, but as it can't be vented it has to go!

Gel batteries should still be vented. Not sure why though.
