Does anyone know where to get original Mazda Rear Brake pads for a Mk2 ? I managed to pik-up some front ones from Ebay for £7.50 a couple of weeks ago but am running out of time to get the rear ones and may have to resort paying full price at MX5 Parts.

Go for the EBC Ultimax - quite a good pad, and bloody cheap to boot. smile

Cheers for the responses guys and gals. I have looked at all the options and want Mazda OEM pads. I had a thread running on Nutz for a while and the conclusion was that for nothing more than a bit of spirited road driving oem's were the way to go. I did think of Axxis Ultimates, but they are almost impossible to source now.

Anyway, I've already got the rear Mazda pads, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay full price for the front ones.

Yep, MX5 Heaven don't have them and they are £69 at Autolink. They're £63 at MX5 Parts.

Are the Mintex pads for the MX-5 any good for fast road/light track use?

the mx5parts mintex? they are OEM replacements - i'd rather the genuine mazda pads. however, the mintex M1144 are the best pads i've ever tried and are perfectly suited to trackday / fast road. not so easy to get hold of tho, and rears are stupidly expensive (compared to the fronts, and the similar axiss ultimates)
