Hello all.

Had my car for about 18 months and generally very happy with it.

Just looking for general tips to get a bit more off-the-line zip, nothing too heavy and at the moment the car is factory standard.

Non-technical Noddy-level advice if possible.

thanks

If it's running well then there isn't a lot you can actually do to make it a bit quicker without spending a fair bit of cash (i.e. forced induction or head-work).

You can make it sound better though (induction & exhaust) which doesn't add much if anything but makes you feel as if it's going quicker wink

The main thing though is to rev the nuts off it. All the power is at the top of the rev range so unless you are changing gear at 6.5-7k rpm then you aren't getting the most out of it biggrin

ETA: Oops - didn't read the title properly! I have no idea what you can do to a 3 MPS paperbag

Well it's a turbocharged car so I'm guessing it could respond well to the usual turbo tuning options. Though quite why you'd want moretorque steer is another thing wink

Isn't it a 4WD? So shouldn't torque steer as much as some hot hatches.

Also, hate to point it out but wrong part of the forum.

first of all... wrong section wink

but in answer to your question(coz i owned one):

A Cobb SRI cone intake is pretty much the only affordable and easy mod, gives a extra 15-20bhp and makes the car much nicer to drive.. pretty much a DIY fitment in 20min too.

after that your into remaps and decat/downpipes and fuelpumps which are all upwards of 600quid each

remaps are still a bit of a unknown in the UK, ive heard good reports and also bad reports in equal measures about various tuners..

my advice is get a intake which will be about 150quid and then youll be happy.. itll make the right noises and be usefully faster and more torqey
