I am now the proud owner of a 1997 MK1 Classic and I love it.

Purchased to use whilst the Cerbera is off the road and not sure I will sell it when the Cerbera is finished, what a fun car.

Eddie 4.2 has been round and sorted all the little car park dings.

It has full service history and a folder full of receipts including all previous MOTs and Tax Discs.

It will be taking us to Classic Le Mans in a couple of weeks and then on to the Dordogne.

One quick question, the windows are a bit stiff (keep fit windows) is there an easy fix (ie WD40 down the guides)?

Lovely looking example, congrats chap.
Sticky windows; a good spray with some aerosol silicone spray lube, down the window guides, followed by some vigorous winding usually does the job.

First side takes about an hour, the second about 40 mins.

Edit: Not sure about manual windows, but I guess the principle is similar.

Welcome to the party biggrin

Nice example - mines a '97 also - they call it poverty spec with no air con, not elec windows... i like it just like that - less to go wrong!

WD40 will work for a time but will need doing again a few months later (from experience) Some spray grease down the guides or silicon spray (winding the windows up and down a fair few times to ensure coverage) might be better long term smile

Enjoy!

Yet more proof of how good the MK 1 '5 is if a Cerbera driver owns one!
