Mine is coming up in about a month and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have some rusty sadness

Mine failed with a 2" hole in passenger side inner sill = close to seatbelt anchor point frown

At the welders today = £50-60, so could have been worse.

Congrats! Mine passed last week.Only thing which was mentioned, was that the handbrake seems to be pulling more on one side than the other. Not looked into it yet, as I instantly went into "woohoo...will take a look in 11 months time" mode tongue out

The MOT gods are obviously smiling on old Mazdas at the minute!

Mine ('91 UK car on 127K) passed today - don't know yet if I've got any advisories, but I'm still recovering from the pleasant surprise of getting a first time pass, was expecting to need to do at least a little fettling to get her through! Very good considering that my wife's clio 182 has only managed to pass with no repairs once since new!

Time to pick the old girl up and give her a wash and a good long drive to celebrate I think (the mazda, not the missus!)

Mine has just scraped a pass after a somewhat epic fail back in May -

- Rear O/S Wishbone corroded
- Rear N/S Anti roll bar droplink bush perished
- Rear N/S Shock absorber "negligible damping effect"
- Both front lower ball joints wobbly as a box of wobbly things
- Chassis rails corroded

It would have failed on the sills too, but I'd already had them fixed.

I knew the rust was coming, I just needed the other failures as the perfect excuse for some new coilovers all round and a 2-day "learning experience" under my wheel arches. A trip to the welders later and a nice green VT20 is the result thumbup. Just need the alignment done now, and perhaps some "adjustments" to allow me to clear speed bumps and get into multi-storey car parks again hehe
