Evening all!

I've been toying between a Panda 100 and a Mk1 MX-5 as a placement year car (year or so away). The reason is that I tried a Mk2 and the wheel was actually too low for my taste (I like an in-yer-face wheel). So I'm looking at a Mk1 but seeing as I'm lazy, I'd like to know is the wheel higher in relation to the seat on the Mk2? if not I'll have to save for a Mk3 frown

Well I've got the Nardi wooden wheel, which I find I sit a lot closer to than my mate's, who has the black three spoke affair. There's also a leather one, and a different Nardi. Probably more, but I'm by no means an expert.

Where are you in the country? I'm sure there's a PHer with one who'll let you have a sit in theirs.

So would you rather the steering wheel was in your line-of-sight or the seating position was more sit-up-and-beg?

The MX5 has a low seating position and a low dashboard to go with it's low waist-line. The steering wheel is exactly where it should be wink

I'm (sadly) in Leicestershire, I'll probably find one at a dealer and have a mozey on over!

EDIT; Lazza, I'm more of a line-of-sight wheel man myself, don't know why cos everyone I know is the opposite apart from my 82 year old grandmother! hehe

Don't forget if you like the wheel in your chest you can buy a replacement one with a dish for £notmuch.
