Morning people of yorkshire

I need the help of a mechanic for a full day as soon as possible to help me get this old suspension off and the other stuff on. I've been without the MX5 for a couple of weeks and despite the diesel pug doing the job, it's driving me nuts!!!!!!

The thing is, I can no longer leave it half completed and need to get it done in a day

We have the majority of tools needed (can't see us needing any more) and there will be myself and a friend working alongside whoever helps

I'm not flush at the moment, but a case of beer would go to the person that can help me get this sorted and the promise of bacon sarnies upon arrival biggrin

Can anyone help??

TIA

Scotty

It took me 8 hours to swap some seats at weekend, nevermind suspension!

Good luck!

P.s. How're you going to get it aligned without a garage? Surely it'll drive bizarrely if not setup at the same time?

Will be getting alignment done at a garage after it's done

To get the old ones out, yeah. But not putting the new ones in, at least not if you're me biggrin

It's actually quite easy....

Setting up afterwards is the difficult bit, but actually swapping them over won't take you long at all.

Took me 2 hours for the first rear one, just over and hour for the second rear one.

Then 2 hours for the front, and a little over an hour for the second front.

I took my time though and wasn't doing anything in a hurry. Head down and go for it (like a mechanic) it's a 1 hour per corner job. You could get it done in a morning, easy.

+1 for just cracking on with it. It does look daunting but apart from tinworm on fasteners and needing help levering the arms up and down to free the shocks, it's not that bad. I managed rear lower wishbones, droplinks, front balljoints and shocks/springs all round in around 12 hours, on my own. And I'm an idiot! hehe
