Seat Belt MOT advisory
Discussion
Hi All,
I have just received an advisory on my MOT for the follwing on my 97 MK1
“Offside seat belt flexible stalk detiorated but not likely to lead to failiure under load (5.2.4a)” (as well as a failiure on an ineffiecient handbrake, naturally
)
I hadn’t noticed this but in comparison to the passenger side, it does wobble a bit. It is not the seat belt stalk itself but the bracket where it attaches to the seat. It appears that a small bolt has lost its’ head leading to the wobble.
I have had a look around the usual breakers websites but they only offer the stalks for sale so I could do with a bit of advice thanks.
Photos is of passenger side with bolt in situ (srewdriver points to it)
