If I get my Mk 3 lowered with Eibach springs:

(a) will it invalidate my insurance if I don't report this to my insurance company? (i.e. will they consider this to be a modification)
(b) & assuming I do need to report it, how much difference is it likely to make to my premuium?

Well I had the wheels-in-motion lowering coils put on mine. Since my insurance was up at the exact time I had it done I did quotes with the mod declared and without to see the difference. I don't know why but with the lowering coils on it worked out £300 cheaper for me, not that I'm complaining.

As a side note on the comparison websites insuring my car third party was also more expensive than fully comp. silly

My cheapest quote with "normal insurers" without the lowering, was £1100.

My cheapest quote with specialist insurers declaring the lowering was nearly £300 less... (£840 something, and I was 21 then with 3 years NCB).
