Just had my aircon serviced by Klimacool on here and I had hoped it would be a straight regas to fix, but it looks like the main pipe to the condenser has a small leak, and my compressor is not kicking in when aircon switched on so could be a wiring problem somewhere frown

Not a major problem, being a softtop but would be nice to have on the days it is warm but raining heavy to keep me cool and stop misting up.

Now need to read the small print on my warranty docs....

The A/C wont activate if it detects low pressure in the system.. (ie a leak)

Also not sure if its still an issue on mk2's but the clutch on the compressor was prone to fall apart on the mk1... the revs would rise to compensate and the aux fan would come on and thats it.

The guy pressurised the system before testing the compressor (not with proper refridgerant but a test gas) but no dice.

Warranty only covers compressor, not pipes so i'd need to cough up circa £200 for starters.

Not sure if I need a/c that much just now...

Rip it out & save weight & money! Not needed on a roadster imho.
