Whats up with my MX5..
Discussion
Nothing is up specifically..
But, it seems the steering isn't very tight. Just drove a MK3.5 yesterday and it seemed very tight, direct and stiff.. I thought the MK1/2 was supposed to be the nicest.. Mine just seems like its slightly loose and driving at 70mph it feels like you can move the wheel and its all light.
Is that just geometry needs doing?

Partly. Tyre choice can make a difference too - directional tyres tend to feel a bit vague in a straight line, especially at speed. Mk1 & Mk2 also benefit from a chin-spoiler (Mk1 especially). Over-inflated tyres can also add to the effect.
It just seems to be slightly light when at 70mph+.I've Firehawk something on the front and Parada on the rear, guess I could swap the Firehawks out but they've about 5mm on them at the moment.
Tyres are at about 26psi. What chin spoiler do you mean?

A lip spoiler such as a Garage Vary lip will help.
Mine has a renault splitter on and it gets floaty at higher speeds

If it only feel light over 70mph though the biggest benefit would come from a chin spoiler
I noticed it at 70+, but that was after the 9hour drive on motorways in a MK3.5 so I think that maybe more stable at higher speeds and I was just expecting mine to do the same..
