Pop up lights on my Mk1
Discussion
I have only had the car about a year and was wondering if it is possible to get the lights to pop up automatically when I flash others.
At the moment the lights flash but stay down. I either have to press the button on the dash which only pops the lights up but not illuminate them, or turn the light switch to on.
It would be nice if I could just pull the flash stick and the lights pop up lit.
You guys were most helpful to me regarding the governing problem so I think one of you must know how to help me with this problem.
Thanks

They should pop up automatically when you flash your lights, mine do anyway. do they pop up if you put your sidelights or head lights on? or do you still need to hit the dash switch for that as well?
Only on the later cars, earlier ones need the above mod (involving a 17p diode and 10 minutes).miniman said:

It sailed through the MOT with great comments from the tester who said there wasn't any rust anywhere underneath it so I think I got a fantastic deal.
I will be getting another one, probably next year, so before I do buy one I will be asking you people in the know which one to buy.
Thanks again for all the help
