Which model best accomodates someone who is tall? I tried a MK 1 but just could not get comfortable. Are there differences in modles?

How tall are you. I'm 6ft 4 and fit in a mk1 quite well.

6 foot 2 but I have a long body! I find I am looking at the top of the screen as I drive...

I'm 6ft 3 and my height comes from having long legs. I fit my Mk 1 fine.

A common mod for a bit more room is to either fit Lotus Elise seats or do a foamectomy and take some of the foam from the stock seats. Either way would drop you lower just the right amount.

Also a smaller steering wheel helps as does removing the foot rest & sun visors. The door pull / armrest can be replaced with a strap type...Every little helps.

As said a MK1 seems to be the best option for taller drivers & a foamectomy should sort you out!

I'm 6ft 3 and just about fit in my MK3 comfortably with the seat pressed back against the bulkhead. I'd clas myself as long legged though.

My girlfriend is 6ft 1 and long bodied (what a weird way to describe ourselves!), she can fit in and drive and see ok, but does suffer from turbulence more than me, which we partially resolved with a wind deflector.

The MK3.5 has a height adjustable drivers seat, but having tried one I believe it's lowest setting is the same position as my seat, ie it only goes up from where mine is now.

I really wouldn't bother, you will be cramped and look incredibly stupid.

Foamectomy works wonders, drops you a couple of inches and gives a couple of inches room backwards too.

I'm 5ft 10 with long legs and I have my seat a good 4 or 5 inches away from the back stop, keep all sorts down there.

Scott (Jad-D) fits in his and hes quite 'large'.

Looks a bit like Bowser driving a Mario Kart, admittedly hehe

I'm 6'2" and fit in Mk1 & Mk2 fine. Mk2.5 is a bit more of a problem so I have Elise S2 seats in mine.
Mk3+ have more space and aren't a problem for me (I just don't like them as much)biglaugh

Im 6,2 felt a bit cramped in the mk1 to start with but after i removed the door handle (soon to be replaced with a leather strap type) i fitten much better. I have just bought some JDM split type sun visors so i will be able to see out all of the screen now! Over time i have also adjusted how i sit in the seat and have just got used to the position.
