Hi, after spending most of the day on my own trying to fit new lowering springs (apex) i eventually got the fronts finished ,however when i came to do the rears i noticed that the stock springs were longer than the front stock springs,i am alomost certain that the lowering springs were all the same size so when i put the springs on the rear the tension is not as much as the front . Does anyone no if this is normal as i am getting a bit paranoid as i am certain i would have noticed if the springs were (apex) different sizes . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds about right, you'll find they as stock they sit higher at the back than the front. On springs it levels it out a bit so less rake but it should still sit a few mm higher at the back with the springs on.

Most springs will lower the car a little more on either the back or front to level the car out and to give a better stance. Apex springs are just trim springs really I.e for looks.

Had a set on my old car and they made no difference to the ride or stiffness, just a bit less suspension travel and a nicer look.

I can't remember if my springs on my 5 were any shorter on the front but I don't think so.
