Winter Roof Folding

I've not had my MX5 in winter yet, but its on its way, and a few times when its been slightly colder the roof hasn't gone back as nicely as it usually does.

Obviously I'm having the roof down this winter, but does anyone do anything special before folding it back? (Its a MK2 so glass screen). Heaters on inside first to warm it slightly? Or just careful fold back and drive

That's all I did at the top of Stelvio when it snowed, have heaters on full pelt for 10min then fine.

Mine's got a glass screen too.
