When I bought my 5 a couple of weeks ago I was given a free set of wheels (with brand new tyres!).

However, some good chap has told me they are 323Fgt wheels or something similar.

The stud pattern looks identical however I am lost with everything else!

They are Enkei wheels with '14 5 1/2 JJ' on them, is this some type of sizing? would they fit a Mk1 1.8?

Cheers for any help.

I think they should fit. The 14 5 1/2 is a 14 inch diameter rim with a 5 1/2 inch width. Perfect for a set of winter wheels.

Is that on the wheel or tyre?

You can see what's on the tyre in the pic: 185/60/14 82H wink
14 5 1/2 will be diameter & width in inches as Reaper said.

If they are Mazda 323 GT wheels they will fit. Look for another stamp inside the rim somewhere that will be something like ET45 - that's the offset. Ideally you want between 35 & 45 but lower than 35 is ok.

If they're ET45 they might look a bit lost in the arches, particularly as they're only 5.5 inches wide - I'd be inclined to add a 10mm spacer to bring them out a bit.

Not if the image is blocked because of a work proxy.

As mentioned, check the inner rim for an offset figure.

Cheers guys,

On the inside (rear of the face) there are the markings I have already stated along with 'BG' and '45' - I presume the 45 is the important part...

Yes, which means they will fit fine and handle well enough though it might look like the wheels are a little inset as suggested by Evangelion. Don't try 10mm spacers though - the studs aren't long enough for that. The biggest you can get away with without fitting longer studs is about 5mm.
