Can anyone tell me what size the Momo Race wheel fitted to some versions of the Mk 1 Eunos is? I had one on my 1.6 and it struck me as just the right size: small enough but not so small as to obscure the guages and good to hold. I want one for my 1.8 but I'm finding it hard to guesstimate the diameter.

Not quite the same one; I'm pretty sure mine was called a Momo 'Race' and it's a model I've seen on several Mk 1s. The rim was a bit more shaped than on the Monte Carlo. Mind, 320mm sounds about right so it's on to eBay.

Any pics of the "race"?
Because the Monte Carlo was a stock wheel on the MK1 (although covered with a black centre-piece... which made it quite ugly)

Lovely wheel...but it's sooooo big, 360mm would mean that I'd have to stick my legs trough the wheel biggrin

It only looks big because it's so thin. Holds lovely in the hand though. If I can get my fat-arse 16 stone frame under it, then you can!

I've driven a few with the "standard" wheel, and I have to say, I wouldn't change my Nardi for anything. When it's time to change the car I'll probably scrap it for the diff and keep the wheel in my garage on the wall.

Mine has one one these:

Which I didn't think I would like when I first saw it (quite chunky and sculpted compared to the Monte Carlo etc), but its actually a really nice wheel to use. Not sure of diameter but its a bit smaller than the original, the flat bottom gives a bit more knee room.

Don't blame me, I bought it that way! All I've added is the seat.

I guess 255rwhp kinda justifies it...

Well, I'm a skinny guy but also long-legged, so I need every millimeter I can find. I know it's thinner than allmost every wheel around, but i'm not really keen on choosing a wheel that's 4 centimeters bigger in diameter.
Too bad, because I really like the look of the Classico

I'm already on the lookout for a steering wheel spacer or something with a bigger dish...damn you geneslaugh

I've just put a 300mm Momo Team on my NB. The original was a 370mm Nardi with airbag.

The Momo is much nicer to use and IMO looks a lot better. However 300mm is probably too small for some and it does obscure some of the dials. (Using this as an excuse to potentially get some better, lower, seats smile )

until you have to steer! wink

actually mine is similar, it's a momo jet and whilst it doesn't have a flat bottom, the mount is offset lower than the centre of the wheel so that in the straight ahead it's a bit higher than normal. however, at 180 degrees of turning, it's lower!

that's a 320mm which is quite nice tho i'm thinking of going slightly smaller, i like a little donut wheel
