Rear Caliper Adjuster fell out....

Has this happened to anyone else? I fitted rear disks & pads. All went well, until I did the last adjustment, took out the allen key, and the adjuster came out with it! It's a bit mangled, but I think the pads adjusted up ok.

The problem is that I have to book an MoT retest within the next few days, so what are the consequences of driving the car without the adjuster in the caliper? I'm guessing it'll be fine for a week, but does anyone know any different?

Mine have always come out very easily, I wouldn't have thought they serve any function other than turning the adjuster. In fact I think I've read threads where people have lost one and had to pinch the one from the other side whilst doing the adjustment

mine always get stuck to teh allen key and fall out. just pop it back in!
