I'm on most of them really ,but the nutz, owners club and here are about the best.
but you also have local club spin offs from the OC, mx5.com,miata.net,clubroadster, to name a few.
But it's also down to how you want and see you Mx/roadster
Nutz is the deep modders(younger gen)anything goes
OC can be, use them in summer and when its dry only, and to be honest some times a little stuffy with changing them, but can be great with the right owners, but all in all it is a good forum, even if i can not see any benefits for joining the club(older gen)
Pistonheads.....petrol heads all ages all types, love cars, enough said.

No offence to the OC, it's a good forum (although pretty quiet these days) but I've always got the vibe that the OC was more "weekend car, lots of chrome and wood trim" etc. where as there seems to be a younger vibe on Nutz and it seems more geared towards modifcations and tinkering, there's a few drifters on there and lots of FI'd cars. I just prefer the vibe of Nutz and it seems to suit me better. Had a few decent runs with some of the local members too! And it's free, which is even better.
Sounds like a fair assessment
There are actually plenty on Nutz who have standard cars who just love to drive them and some on OC who have modified cars but as a general rule I'd agree.
There are also a number of local groups too - I'm a member of PlanetMX5 for example which is a group centered around north Surrey mostly encompassing the North Surrey, South West London, Berkshire, North Hampshire area but it's slowly spreading out from there and we now have members all over rthe country (though it's only really the locals who get to the regular meets).
There are other groups such as Phoenix Fives & Moonrakers who are mostly spin-offs from the OC.
Basically, do a bit of searching across the main forums and you'll probably find someone mentioning a group local(ish) to you.

Oh and hello, I'm looking for a MX-5 MK 2. I'm based in South Derbyshire.
Mick
I've just put a deposit down on a nice mk2 1.8is. Can't wait to pick it up this week!Mick
I reckon I've got a right bargain!
Every car I like seems to be at the other end of the country, biding my time in a hope something comes up a bit closer to me.
Mick
I'm really lucky!
I was going to look at a 1.6 fixer upper about 50 miles away but it sold before I could get there
But when she rang to say it had gone she told me about a immaculate 1.8 with all the toys and a hard top for only £300 more
AND it was only 5 miles away
It's now sitting in my garage
