Paintshield, Armourfend or 3M film?

I am picking up my new Roadster Coupe this morning and wondering about paint protection.
This is the first new car I have bought which will not be a daily driver so I want to keep it in the best condition possible.
Has anyone used Paintshield, Armourfend or 3M and is it worth having?

Unless it's a fair bit cheaper than getting the panels resprayed then I can't see the point of it. If it is a lot cheaper then it probably is worth it though as modern paints are fragile and chip easily.
