scratched/misty headlamp 'glass' on mk2

Hi, my headlamp 'glass' (plastic) on my mk2 is somewhat 'misty', by that I mean it has gotten enough small scratches that it appears dull. Apart from looking a bit rubbish, I suspect that this doesn't help my headlamp effectiveness at night either.

Can anyone recommend a product that I can use to polish it up nice and clear again?

On my Focus I use T-Cut followed by normal polish (as you'd use on the paintwork). That seems to work well and I have plenty of the stuff in the garage already.

If you use an orbital polisher it would cut the job in two (no pun). Cheap from lidl etc.
