They are only giving back money they shouldn't have taken off you in the first place. Kind of like a savings account except they keep the interest...

I'm going to replace my "long cat" with a short one with downpipe from an early car for £90+VAT from Autolink, then I can use any exhaust I like smile

I don't quite fancy that for some reason - seems wrong to start hacking at a brand new system.

That said however i am seriously thinking about getting a custom exhaust made up at longlife or powerflow - at least i'll be left with something thats made to measure properly and sounds how i want. Lifetime warranty as well scratchchin
