Looking to buy one and found this on the bay

mileage is a bit high but Ive been told by a friend not to worry. Anything else in my budget with lower miles is much older. High miles v's newer car ????

The mileage should be fine. So as your mate says I wouldn't worry about that.

I would always go newer high mileage over older. A lot of rubbers deteriorate with age rather than miles.

2004 is the MK 2.5 with all the variable valve stuff on it or whatever it is.

MK1 was 130
MK2 was 140?
MK2.5 has to be a bit more than 140 so 147 didn't grab me as too odd?

I'd say newer car is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than lower mileage but I'm a little biased as its my car your looking at !!!
