Chaps,

I've been sorting out loads of photography and set up an ebay shop for my uncle. He's a st hot fabricator, Retired now, making classic bike parts for fun.

I was wondering if I could get him making a few '5 parts for me/possibly to sell.

Here's an idea of what he does:

What would you have made?

Anything in demand that people can't get hold of?

Ta!

not a bad shout with the xover pipe batty!

Winders and gearknobs are a bit boring, non?

What about solid engine mounts?

Quick shift mechanism and strut braces are the only things I can think of. Crossover pipe would be good.

cross over pipe good
but for me:
good looking alloy chassis braces front and rear and cockpit .
Billet tow hooks with folding ring to replace teeth at front and rear chassis mounted .
plain spun ally gear knob cut with correct thread.
drift (vertical) handbrake linkage?
decent milled pedal set
sump guard?
rad expansion bottle to fit OE mounts.
I would buy all of the above!

short gear lever with stock pivot points (unlike the short shifter kits).

Talented guy!

Offset number plate brackets would be the obvious choice.

Also front & rear tow hooks assuming he does steel as well as aluminium?

Also slam panels (especially for the MK2 as little choice available)

He could get some ideas on other engine bay bling from another retired craftsman (Pollyanna on OC forum)

I'd like one of these.

And a crossover pipe.

And a set of mounting brackets for an MP45 charger.

Dont know him personally but I live about 5 minutes away and used to walk past his shop/unit all the time (well at least on a Friday when going to the Junky) He is pretty well known round there and i know he has been going years. I've heard good stuff about his work.

Proper old school engineer and very well regarded.

I could do with a throttle body with a much stronger butterfly spindle! I can even supply a broken throttle to show where the weakness is smile
