Just had some awesome news!!! my long term gf is pregnant with our first childsmile Could not be happier, but......as the mx-5 is my only car and my other half does not drive it has to go!!

Really gutted as I spent so long hunting down what I thought was the perfect example of a mark 1, doubley (is that even a word???) perfect as the seller did not realise it was a V-spec....

So now it is time to move it on and get myself into a boring "child friendly" banger, until its time to return.....

If I were you I'd be busy thinking of a way to keep the Roadster and the snooze-mobile. Especially if you know you got a good one...

Congratulations!

When I heard my wife was pregnant (2 years ago) I went and bought my MX5!

At the time we only had one car (Mini Cooper S), which we sold and bought an Alfa 156 SW (family car) and an MX5 for me, as a little bit of fun. Both cars were cheaper to buy than the Mini and so far not too expensive to run/ insure. Obviously depends on your circumstances and as your g/f cant drive anyway I accept two cars may seem a little extravagant.

Best of luck anyway.....

Mike

PS you'll absolutely love being a dad!!

Congratulations!

Brings back memories of when my MGB had to go for the same reason.

So i went out to buy an estate car......& came home with a Cavalier Convertible laugh

So i still got the fun of a drop top & have to say it was a fab car. Quite rare too as the world & his wife were all driving Escort Cabs at the time.

Kept it for years & fitted 3 kids in the back no problem.

Happy days driving
