Does anyone have any experience of Hancook RS2 tyres at all? Camskills have them very cheap in my size saving my about £100 a set compared to equivalents. Was planning on going to AD08's, but at this price I'm very tempted.

I have only used them on my Integra, using T1Rs on the 5. Very impressed with them, stood up really well on track days, nice stiff sidewall and didnt go off at all. Alot of grip and feel on dry roads.

One thing i would say is that they need a bit of temp to get working really well so cold/damp/snow they are pretty poor.

excellent summer / track day tyres. if you can get them, go for it. they love a bit of heat in them, and where t1r's melt and go off, these get better and better. they aren't super sticky compared to things like the R888's etc but as a road / track tyre i think they're fantastic and very well suited to the 5, lots of guys have tried these and rate them. they also last a lot longer than the 888's etc

Might have to give them a go at that price. Did quite fancy trying a set of proper cut slicks, but I reckon the extra £100-200 will go a long way to getting the rest of the bits I'll need on track.

Keep the opinions coming, interested in how they compared to other track day rubber too.

They basically fill the gap between cut slicks like R888 & A048 and decent road tyres. They are far better on track than any road tyre will be but won't quite cut it with full track tyres. They do however perform in the wet much better than cut slicks wink

I'm convinced, 4 on order from Camskills for the bargain price of £212. Cheaper than T1R's these days!

Let me know how you get on. Loads of the integra folk rate them highly. I "Liked" the T1-Rs on my civic but didn't love them. smile

They are better than T1R most of the time the only time they aren't is on really wet roads and then it's marginal. Neither work on really cold roads.

All fitted and bedded in now. For those that are interested, here's my thoughts so far:

Far stiffer sidewalls resulting in a sharper turn in and lighter feeling steering which is good.

Crap on the wet, feels worse than the Toyo's by a bit.

No tyre squeal that I can hear, can make it harder to feel when you're approaching the limit, although they're nice and progressive.

No real dry use yet, they feel grippier but I've not had a proper run.

Overall not bad, considering they were cheaper than Toyo's, but I don't think I'll go with them again; if I'm getting poor wet performance I figure I might aswell have extreme dry performance with cut slicks.

More to follow as soon as the bd sun emerges and I can get it up Jackson Heights road biggrin

They are track tyres so not really made for road use this time of year. The wet weather grip is actually very good but the cold+wet grip is lacking as it would be with any track based tyre. Once it warms up a bit you'll like them more smile

I probably shouldn't be passing judgement this early, I'm sure I'll warm to them a little more as we move into summer. Think my opinions may be biased thanks to the clot of a Scirocco driver that decided an emergency stop to make his missed turning was preferable to turning around... tit. Thankfully did stop, but sideways to the road; no ABS isn't great this time of year.

They will also take a good 200 miles of dry or a lot more of wet driving to fully scrub in wink

Did abotu 200 miles at weekend but in mainly wet conditions... nearly there now, long as they're bedded for the meet in a couple of weeks I'll be happy.

Pretty sure it's just the fronts left to do, the roundabouts on the Hanforth Bypass sorted the rears... evil
