i have a series 1 1993 1.6 mx5, and it will need a cambelt change in a few months time

what are the other things that i should be checking /replacing at the same time?
(waterpump?/tensioners ?)

What ever you do, make sure you take it to someone who knows what they are doing, or if you are doing it yourself, read up!
Perfect torque settings and correct procedures are required to make sure you don't run into problems later on.Try and take it to someone with experience of MX5's or a specialist.

I had the waterpump (was leaking) and tensioners done. For the small amount of extra money it's good piece of mind.

waterpump, new tensioners (obviously), crank oil seal, I did all these at the same time, its a pig of a job so worth doing all the bits at once
