It's one of those on "the to do list". So I've booked up with Circut Days for this years Nurburgring 700. Private car only track day with 8 hours use of the ring. End of August, can't wait. Should be a good road trip too.

Sounds good. How much, if you don't mind me asking?

A grand. That includes the Eurotunnel 2 nights at the Linder hotel at the ring, 8 hours of unlimited lapping and any track day in the UK this year or next.

That is really good value! You can easily spend that on a ten lap trip. Going again in April and can't wait!

Take it easy, don't try to keep up with people and if someone wants to overtake you make sure they have to go around you i.e. stay on the racing line. If they are faster they will pass you. Going off the racing line can lead to all sorts of problems, especially if it's damn/slippery. If you do have to go off the racing line then only do it on the straights, not in bends and make sure you are back on line before the braking zones.

I usually just say "drive it as you would a B-road that you don't know".

Always remember that around the next corner there could be a car facing the wrong way/on its roof in the middle of the track biggrin

Are the track day rules different to the TF rules?
