For £3200
It wouldnt be suitable for running to work though would it? And the insurance would be daft.

Hate to say it, but man up! What do you do - Dewsbury to Leeds every day? It'll be fine. It'll be summer soon too. It will be noisy, with poor visibilty and a bit jiggly but you wont care. I'll go and have a look round it with you if you want a 2nd opinion as I'm only up the road.
The chap who did all the work to it did so over several years and kept buying the car back whenever it came up for sale! It's been well maintained while in his care. Not sure what, if anything, the current owner has done to it.
I thing there was a diary on nutz of all the more recent work.

nice looking little car and with some decent power, but why is one of the rear tyres on the wrong way round? hardly going to help the handling.
If you read the questions underneath someone asked that already and apparently the wheels were put on just for the photoshoot?Edited by rb5230 on Monday 31st January 23:23
Looks extremely nice though with some good power figures too.

With no turbo or wide arches and poop little wheels? No way!The only thing that is better/nicer about that one is the mileage.

Blimey, thats a lot.
How much do you pay for the Alfa, for reference?
I'd also try Sky insurance if you havent already, there really good for me. Theres a chap you need to speak to, and tell him MX5nutz sent you, and he'll handle your query start to finish - have a look on the forum for his name, I cant remember off hand.
To be fair though - that one is HIGHLY modified!

Well I'm 28, and that quote was with 2 years NCB, and my dad as a named driver which didnt make a difference. I did have a slight mishap 2 years ago though, meaning an at fault claim against me
The Alfa is currently costing me £960, and I dont want to go much higher to get a 5.
If I can find somewhere that could get it down to around £1200 I may go for it, if not I get to keep my Alfa or try and find a UK car and see what the insurance is like on that.

Thoughts on the 1.8 6 speed?
Also is it obvious I have no idea what to do with cars at the moment
