its like 10,000 wooden hangers when all you need is a wire one. (c) Alanis Morrisette

I've just cleaned out the drain holes on the OH's '99. Thanks to Jonny Westside and MonkeyArmsDealer (who coincidentally, isn't a purveyor of prosthethic limbs for chimps)who showed me how.

Very disappointingly and somewhat surprisingly they were completely clear!

I'll do mine when I get the car back, I wonder how that will turn out....

Curtain wire's very good for cleaning drain holes - it's flexible and less likely to do any damage to the plastic tube than a straightened coathanger.

Better than them being filled with crap like my neighbour's mk2. The water was up to shoulder height inside the car! You could have kept fish in there.

(And they might well have lived for longer than in your aquarium as well)

Not yet, got it back last night after the turbo oil return work and I need to take the hard top off to get to the drain holes!

Did mine yesterday, I was too lazy to take the hard top off so went from the bottom upwards instead (phnarr phnarr). Quite a lot of mud clogging the bottom, but not fully blocked.

Where are these drain holes, just behind the door slam panels?

Old curtain wires best then?!
