That reminds me actually, it's been some 16 months since I had my car lowered and the geo done originally. Probably ought to get it checked out again somewhere.

A more tail happy version of their fast road set up.

Do you want me to post the mystical numbers?

Feel free to post them, or email me...

I think your setup is exactly what I potentially have... Well what I asked for (not from WIM but from another geo place)
and what I actually got is open to debate (it is tail happy which is fun on track).

You certainly sound happy smile

No, more tail happy than WiM Fast Road which is very safe and doesn't allow much tail-out (i.e. What Mr Average really wants) wink

Ahhh didn't realise they were toned down. Would be interested in your settings for when I get mine sorted.

Tony @WiM will pass on the settings, if you can find a good place local to you.

tony should be able to recommend a local place capable of doing the job too as he's set up a bit of a network

They aren't toned down. Fast Road is exactly what you would expect it to be - very stable, very good grip and neutral balance i.e. about as fast a setup as you will get for a road car. If you want to dial in a bit of oversteer you might make it more fun but sideways is never going to be as fast as neutral tending towards understeer on the road.

Indeed chaps... but who..? (Devon)

I can't say I've ever heard such glowing recommendations from many places outside of WiM HQ!

Surely a badly done geo can be just as bad as a completely shot geo!?!?!

this tyre centre is linked in to WIM

Performance Tyre & Autocare

Unit 6, Broxton Drive
Pomphlett Farm Ind. Est.
Plymouth
PL9 7BG

might be best to drop WIM a line tho and just ask tony who's down there that he recommends.

They are good but 114 quid is not cheap is it? In fact it's significantly more than I paid when I went - have they put their prices up?

Possibly. I went alone not part of a group. And vat has gone up.

The fast-road settings are totally dependant on the car and it's modifications, no two cars are the same and no two drivers are the same.

Fast-road assumes speed domestically so by design the desire is a planted footprint that will saturate if pushed to the limit ( under-steer ) The reason for this is if you cook it corner in i want you to hit whatever your going to hit head on, and then read about it in a forum the next day.

Fast-road "evolution" is for the next generation TVR minded driver who's passionate for rear-end steer, a progressive lover of coefficient madness formulating in a power struggle between power and inertia.
