Mk.3 Powershift
Discussion
Every now and again I ask but there is not much feedback out there. Understandable as the MX5 is pretty meaningless without a manual cogbox. At the very least I've pretty much set myself on going for a test drive in the next week or so
Any one own one and care to comment on the auto paddle setup. I'd love to know if it has a sports mode where it hangs on to gears for longer. Also what is the response of the box like on reacting to the paddles?
Over to you, although I'm not expecting to be inundated with replies.
I forgot to mention as someone is bound to ask - dicky left knee

Travelled 50 miles today to view a lovely 2010 2.0 Powershift only to find that they wouldnt be able to offer me a test drive due to the very low mileage (didnt want to get it dirty!) as I was planning to choose between that at MR2's. They said that when I had tried an MR2 to come back again when I was more serious! Wish they had told me that on the phone!! Now wish I hadnt been so honest.

MKG in Twickers are a decent lot if they have one.
They advertised as having a couple in stock but did they? . . . nope!Managed to get a test drive at Tooting Mazda in a soft top Powershift. Great little machine. Followed that up with a blat in a 2003 MR2, but it was pretty uncouth in comparison. The auto box in the 5 really suited it. Couldnt really fault it to be honest. Little more power would have been nice, but hey. . .
