How could you tell if you don't think the car is running nicely?

I'm sure mine isn't, but as soon as I get the idea in my head that its not right.. I can't get it out of my head.

So I'm sure its not, but its not misfiring or anything, not using too much fuel etc.

Maybe its just me assuming they're quicker than they are.

Sometimes basic engines just run a little lumpy, are a bit reluctant to rev, etc.

I prescribe an Italian tune-up. biggrin

So basically it just feels slow?

ETA: Changed fuel recently?

I always fill at the same Shell garage, but maybe its just me not putting my foot down properly saving money hehe

I do think theres something up with the exhaust though as it sounds terrible when you blip it, like a rattle noise.

Rattling heatshield? Or maybe some of the baffle / cat has broken up and is rattling about? That wouldnt help performance I'd imagine.

Hopefully its just a heatshield.. But it is a non-genuine cat so probably not as good as a decent one.

I might get my brother to decat it, but then I don't want it to be too loud.

Why is it non-genuine? Did you have to change it before?

Yeah, it was a non-genuine on there when I got it.. MOT'd and didn't pass emissions so put one of the non-genuine ones we had just laying around in the stores and it went though.

Maybe its something thats causing them to fail..

That's what I was thinking. Having said that, it's probably something else anyway.
