Handbook says 10w-30, Halfords say 5w-30. I'm not naturally inclined to believe Halfrods but would 5w-30 be ok for a top up?

Most owners say use 5w30 fully synthetic oil.

If it's just top ups then it doesn't really matter much what you use.

As for oil changes, I always recommend (and use) Mobil1 0W-40.

I use 5w30 Halfords fully synthetic (~£30 a bottle iirc).

They often to a 2 for 1 deal so i try to pick up it up then.

Asda are currently doing a deal on Castrol GTX fully synthetic - £3 per 1litre bottle! Yes - That's only £12 for a full engine oil change.

The only issue is, you have to step foot in an Asda to get the stuff...

Also doing Reddex for £2 a bottle!
