I've signed up for the Motorsport Events track day at Abingdon on 18th March and just wondered if anyone else here is going?

This will be the first event for my 1.8 Eunos and will give me the chance to try out the Gaz coilovers I fitted at Christmas and to experiment with the damper settings. I've not been to Abingdon before but I reasoned that an airfield track should let me find the limits without risk of car/armco interface! And somehow I kind of feel that the car and I both need a good blast to say goodbye to winter and to welcome in the Spring!

Ah, hadn't seen that thread but never mind, I couldn't have made the April date anyway. Followed your link and found your video which is great; now I have a good idea of the track layout and can start mentally practising my lines!

They're good organisers, you'll have a great day with them. No nonsense allowed.

I should be back in to track days when I get home, early May time ish.

I agree. I did Hullavington Airfield with them a few years ago in the Impreza I had at the time (my souvenir coffee mug with photo of self in action is sitting in front of me as I type) and was impressed with the organisation and discipline on the track. Nice mix of fast straights and twisty bits too and while airfields aren't quite the same as proper tracks, they do have the major virtues of being cheaper and having plenty of run-off.
