Leaking fuel injector
Discussion
1992 V-Spec Eunos if that helps...
Having stripped off the turbo bits for the time being and returned the car to standard the last job was to replace my Supra injectors with the smaller stock ones. I had this done by the garage who MOTed the car and all was fine (less popping and banging on the over-run but hey!). Until today...
I took the car for a short drive and upon stopping noticed petrol on the floor- upon investigating the injector closest to the windscreen is spraying out petrol in a fan-like fashion (towards the windscreen, not up but in that direction as opposed to towards the front of the engine).
I suspect an o-ring isn't seated right or perished but have a couple of questions- I can rotate all the injectors easily by hand, I can't remember if I could do that before- is that right?
Also, if I phone the garage to rant tomorrow is it likely that this is just a coincidence or (as I initially suspected) have they done something wrong?
As a bonus question- now I know this is happening I'm obviously not keen to move the car in order to return it to them as hot engine (garage is about 10 miles from mine) and leaking fuel does not sound like a winning combo- correct?

Sounds like the o-ring is either perished or not fitted correctly like you say. You should be able to move the injectors a bit but you should be able to feel resistance. On the Mk2.5 the fuel rail clamps the injector plugs which stops them moving, I don't know if Mk1/2 are the same.
There should be nothing hot enough that side of the engine to ignite the fuel but I wouldn't want to drive it like that myself as it wouldn't take much for some spray to get to the exhaust side and by there under the bonnet would be full of fuel fumes.
Personally I'd try to fix it myself. Injectors are pretty easy to get at.
