Vinyl hood brittle and showing signs of cracking...

...am I looking at sucking up a new hood soon or is there any product that is recommended to soften it and make it more supple and flexibile?

It has kind of gone grey and rock hard, and small cracks are developing on the window join - these will only get worse I imagine.

Beginning of the end I'm afraid. The Renovo stuff from MX5parts is very good but can't turn back time

Might get some anyway to tide me over the summer then save up for a replacement....

As NCOT said, the Renovo stuff is good at holding back time for a bit as it has a UV filter to stop the vinyl going brittle but once it's gone there is no going back. Look on the bright side - you can get a mohair hood now
