DAB for American UConnect

Any thoughts on how to establish DAB on an Aerican UConnect unit? In this case, a Challenger with UConnect 4 - 8.4
Sure, there are different hardware versions for regions like the USA (NA), Europe (EU) and Rest of World (RoW), and I am aware of a company in Sweden who can unlock, say a NA version to become EU. But none of these seem to have the hardware needed for DAB decoding. Unlike some of the other UConnect hardware fitted in the likes of Jeeps, Fiats and the likes, that can deal with EU DAB.
Only solution seems to be an external DAB tuner that feeds into the existing head unit, but probably without head unit control.
Not sure how much interchangability there is between different UConnects - For example, if you took one from say a Jeep with EU DAB, could that load the firmware needed to allow the head unit to display all the Challenger functions? I suspect not, as even a NA UConnect will not load EU firmware.

Might be better asking this question in the Dodge Challebegr UK Owners Club UK on Facebook. Some very knowledgeable people on there.
You would be better off using Radio Player through the likes of Apple Car Play/Android Auto as Uconnect is pretty crap. That s what most people seem to do.

Don't do Faebook, but am on Hellcat.org. Though this is a very UK / EU specific topic, and most on hellcat.org are in the USA.
About to swap an EU one for a USA one that has been reset to EU, so will see how that goes. Still won't be any DAB though.
I know some use an external DAB tuner, feeding into AUX1 input, but that obvioulsy lacks the dash display controllability for changing stations.
These guys in Sweden - https://www.customtronix.com/shop/ seem to be quite up on it, offering a DAB extender for UConnect 5. Not as it would seems however, UConnect 4 - Will drop them a line and see what ideas they have....

TBH, the breadth of information available on Hellcat.org is never likely going to be matched anywhere. Except that is, for any specifics that are not relevant in the USA. DAB of course being one. But the car (not me!) already gets more invites to shows around the North of Scotland than I can fit in, so not too much missing out there. The car also has its own Instagram account - Fortunately, it is more into this social media than I am.... and entertains its followers with pics and videos it find amusing!
